SUSS MicroTec fusses over microchip production equipment. Chip makers employ the company's diverse offerings at various stages of semiconductor wafer and device production. SUSS cleaning systems prepare wafer surfaces for high-precision manufacturing steps; lithography equipment imprints circuit designs onto wafers; and device bonders and other packaging gear protect finished chips from environmental harm. The company has operations in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. SUSS sold its test systems division to Cascade Microtech in 2010. The company formed a partnership with Cascade that will focus on developing 3D manufacturing processes, a next generation technology in chip making.
